Volunteering Your Way
Customizing Volunteer Opportunities to Meet Members’ Needs
Volunteering Your Way is a program by which members can tell us what THEY would like to do and just exactly how much time they have to do it – and we will find just the right spot to plug them in. We believe this "task-based" volunteer format where members can pick and choose individual tasks within a specific committee will increase the number of volunteers at MPIWC and create a more workable time commitment for all projects. Our team will work with you to find a situation that fits your needs based on the amount of time you have, as well as when you can volunteer your time. Help us accomplish a Chapter goal while working with and getting to know better other members, hone your own leadership skills with your involvement – and make your MPI WestField Chapter connection more rewarding.
In addition, volunteers get some important benefits and rewards from their service, such as opportunities to:
- Practice skills that are not utilized in their paid work
- Learn new skills
- Make valuable professional contacts
- Build meaningful relationships
- Become recognized by their peers
- Advance their profession
- Have fun!
If you would like more information about getting involved, please take a moment to review the departments and committees below and the volunteer opportunities for specific tasks required within each department.
