Speaker Bios:

Panel Discussion moderated by Rick Weaver

Panelists include:
Ann Williams, CMP - Director, Catering and Convention Services, and Park Events, Walt Disney World Resort

Carol Muldoon, CMM - KPMG, LLP
Elizabeth George, CMM - New Orleans Metropolitan Convention and Visitor's Bureau

Ann Williams, CMP is responsible for setting strategies for the Catering, Convention Services, and Park Events areas which span six Disney Convention Resorts and four Theme Parks.  Her team consists of five direct reports, 15 senior leaders, and more than 200 industry professionals who plan and deliver an array of group and Park festival events.  Ann is a 31-year Cast Member who began her career at the Walt Disney World Resort as a ticket seller in the Magic Kingdom Park.

Ann has a strong background in operations management, with extensive experience in Ticketing, Attractions, Guest Relations, and Parking at the Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  In 1995, she was selected to lead the development, design, and execution of Epcot signature events and festivals.  In this role, she was instrumental in the development of many new and innovative experiences, including the world-renown Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

In 1997, Ann became the Operations Manager for Epcot Events, where she created a seamless organization for conventions, special events, and catering functions that today is a model for Theme Park event operations throughout Disney’s segment operations.  Ann accepted the position of Catering Operations Director in 2005 and was promoted to Director of Catering and Convention Services in early 2006; Ann’s role was then expanded to include Park Event Operations in 2009 following a global reorganization.

Ann is one of the Disney Senior Leaders on Green Standards for Walt Disney World and attends various conferences to share Disney’s message on “Environmentality” and Green Meetings.  In conjunction with our long-standing commitment to Environmentality, Ann played a vital role in creating a custom "Enviro-Footprint" that showcases how applying Disney's Green Meetings Guidelines to programs positively impacts the environment.  The custom "Enviro-Footprint" is part of Disney's ongoing commitment to Environmentality and is now a standard program offered to Clients who choose to host their meetings and events at the Walt Disney World Resort.  Ann has also been instrumental in partnering with all segments of The Walt Disney Company world-wide on task force and special projects such as Special Event Development, Green Meetings, and Well-Balanced Dining.

Ann graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  She received her Masters degree from Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of business.  Her professional affiliations include being a member of the International Special Events Society, and she sits on the Board of Advisory for the Orlando Culinary Academy.  Ann is a certified meeting professional, a Disney Partners in Excellence award recipient, and a recipient of the YMCA Black Achiever Award in 1998.

Carol Muldoon. CMM, Executive Director of Events & Meetings for KPMG LLP, oversees the operations of a fully consolidated meeting and events department that this year booked and planned over 2000 programs. In the 24 years that Carol has been at KPMG, she has led initiatives that include the restructuring of the organization to centralize services, the offshoring of meeting support to India, and the configuration and execution of the Starcite technology platform.  Prior to joining KPMG, Carol served as the New York District Director for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, overseeing the special event planning including the NY segment of the Jerry Lewis Telethon.   Carol holds her Bachelors degree in Social Work from Siena College in upstate New York and is proud of her industry accomplishments including serving on numerous industry boards, receiving her CMM certification, being named by Corporate Travel News as one of the Industries Most Influential People and most recently being selected as one of the industries 20 ChangeMakers by Corporate Meetings & Incentives magazine.    Carol is currently a member of MPI’s Executive Advisory Council which is focused on addressing how to better engage and serve more senior members of MPI.
